Voting by mail in Virginia!

Voting by mail (sometimes called “Absentee voting”) is available to all Virginia voters. Voting by mail is safe, secure, and accessible. Login to your Virginia State voter's portal to request your vote by mail ballot so that this election, you can cast a vote for pro-education candidates from the comfort of your home.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not yet registered to vote in Virginia. When is the voting registration deadline?

The 2024 Primary voter registration deadline is May 28th, and you can register to vote online, in person at your local Voter Registration Office, or by mail.

The 2024 voter registration deadline has passed, can I still register to vote in this June's Primary election?

Yes! After May 28th, you can register to vote through Virginia's same-day voter registration process. To register to vote same-day, visit your local Voter Registration Office.

How do I find my polling place?

Can I bring my children to the polls with me when I vote?

Yes! You can bring your kids to the polls with you. Please keep in mind that state law only allows for children under the age of 15 to accompany you into the voting booth.

I have a disability and need assistance casting my vote at the polls. What are my options?

If you have a disability and require assistance casting a vote, an election official at the polls can help you cast your vote. You can also bring your own helper to the polls to assist you.

I lost my vote by mail ballot, and it's too late to request a new one. Can I still cast a vote in the Primary 2024 election?

Yes! You can visit your local polling place during the early vote period (up until June 15th) or on Election Day (June 18th) and vote provisionally. You may need to provide additional information after Election Day to finalize or “cure” your vote, but remember - every vote counts!
